Default Full Race turbo kit need cat?

Just got my Full race stage 3 turbo kit in. I'll be combining that with the thermal turbo exhaust. Will I still need a cat? Not sure if the down pipe goes all the way back to the exhaust or just the cat. If I still need a cat, anyone know of a good one? How about test pipe? Which of the two would you prefer? I also want to know if anyone has combined a test pipe with the thermal exhaust. How much change should be expected in the tone of the exhaust. thanks.

My Full Race stage 3 with AC downpipe didn't quite reach my thermal and it was a bit off center. We had to make a 10 inch pipe that was slightly S shaped to link the two together. Sounds great under boost.

You would need to contact Full-Race about that. It is possible that my downpipe was a little off and a little short. It really wasn't a big deal to get a custom 3" pipe made with flanges. We even put in two extra O2 sensor ports in it, one for my PLX wideband and the other for the tuner's wideband. I use the O2 port on the downpipe for the stock narrowband O2. Don't sweat it, if you find it is a little short just call your local exhaust shop and see if they can fab something up.

I would imagine there would be a gap between the end of the DP and where a catback exhuast would goto. So long as your state doesn't have any sort of "sniffer" emissions test and you can pass inspection w/o a cat, I would reccomend a test pipe. You could buy one somewhere online or goto probibly any muffler shop that does domestic work as they'll prolly have some 3" straights for you.
