Default 91 CRX HF b16 swap problems!!

Well we ordered a first gen b16 from hmotorsonline got it in, bought crx shift linkage off ebay made by arizona racing for a crx with a b16, and got all of the wiring ready and everything.... First problem: faulty or clogged injectors-thanks hmotors. Now we were told we rigged the factory hf clutch cable to work, well we think we did..... now heres the problems, when its started, it will not go into reverse it just grids, but you can start it in reverse and it goes, its a pain in the *** to go into any gear, when you drive its almost impossible to shift ffrom first to second to third etc... but when you try to downshift it just grids... We called hmotors and he says clutch cable.... We bought from a person in town what we were told was a 90 integra clutch cable, after we got home it turns out to be the exact same length as the factory one??? i dont know if thats how its supposed to be? but we now have a 90 integra clutch cable off ebay on the wa.... i just wanted otyhers opinions anything helps please post fast!!!

What kind of mounts are you using?

Mixing and matching different brands/designs of
mounts and linkages can lead to fitment problems...

That could be your problem, the fitment on a lot of that generic ebay **** is horrendous. I would recommend getting rid of that **** and picking up Hasport mounts and linkages. I have Hasport everything on my swap and everything fits like a glove.

well first of all how is an impoter going to know injectors are faulty, all they have is skids and skids of engines, they dont start them at all, they just clean them and ship them out

it sounds like the linkage is not the correct length at all since your saying it grinds and whatnot. different engine mounts place the engine in different locations. so its possible its either too short, or too long, since it may be intended for a different application.

did you go with a new clutch or left the old one in there?

hows the action on the pedal, where does it feel like the clutch is grabbing, all the way at the top, or all the way at the bottom?

try playing with the adjustment on the cable to get it right, but i seriously suspect that linkage.
