Default CLUTCH SLIPPING!! All b16 Clutches the same? Cable Adjust To Fix Maybe

So my hatches clutch is sliping I believe.
I noticed it today in 5th when I kinda punched it on the freeway and the rpms rose a good 150 and the car didnt really accelerate, didnt think much of it

Then later I tried to do a ripper from a stop light, shift into second was alright, not much of a pause between catching up to the motor. But then on the shift to 3rd it must of stayed there for atleast a second before the rpms came back down.

Im curious if adjusting the cable somehow can fix this?

Also because this is an older b16 I believe (obd0 pr3) cable trans, I dont know what version of the b16 clutch I can buy or if there all the same, or if the GSR clutches and such will work

Need some help

the only way adjusting will fix, is if it is too tight, but if it is gone, no ammount of adjusting will fix.

i cant remember what cable trans is the same as the newer b series.. i think if i remember, the 92 and up cables are the same splines as the newer b series.

Try thi thread I started, no replies so I guess most of the US guys don't run a cable box in the B16?
Anyway, will give you the part number of the clutch I'm about to drop in my JDM B16 Cable.

90-91 LS and JDM cable trans 1" X24 tooth aka "small spline"

92+ LS/GSR cable and all hydro trans 1.0625" X24 tooth aka "big spline"

The OP can order a 90-91 LS clutch and have a good time with it. I, however, would ditch the JDM cable box as they are usually crusty and old these days.

and a stock clutch is barley good for stock power. to have a good clutch that drives well you will have to spend money.

Try these people

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...54643

They are based in the US so it should be easy for you, little harder for us Europe folk

This is the clucth kit for the cable B16 box NOT hydro,,,,,,,
They sell other kits, I think a 6 puck will be far too much for NASP, I suggest not to go for the heavy duty cover plate, it's heavy on a cable box, takes some getting used too.
