Default Clutch pedal sicknes !?

Hello Honda People

I have a problem with my clutch pedal .

Today I got to drive the teg , I start , pressed the clutch (done maybe 1000kms ago) , put it in first gear and when I let go slowly the clutch pedal it instantly engaged I said WTF !! I get out from the garage, and the pedal feels soft (ACT XTSS) and it engage at the bottom ! then after I go for a drive arround the block it gets back to normal !!! hard peddal like an ACT XTSS is normaly like and it engages half way down as it normaly does .

Now I let it sit till tonight and the same thing had happend after I tried to drive it , soft at first and then Ok !!

Did something happend when Sunday me and a friend with a 2004 modded WRX had some racing . alot of downshifts and hi rpms shifts + 6k rpms lounches did something happend to the clutch ?

Thanks
Marlon

Try flushing the clutch fluid before trying anything else.

thanks for the quick response

today was the first time this problem had happend . could be the clutch fluid going bad ?

or had the clutch been damaged by doing downshifts ? downshifts like 4th gear going 60kms/h to 2nd gear to engage V-tec

I down shift hard very often... and my xt-ss is still fine. I agree with Reid, check then flush your clutch fluid.

good luck.

Replace Clutch Fluid, and check well if you have any leakages.........

I doubt that an XTSS would get damaged with a couple of launches ....its a tough clutch !

Thanks all for your good help guys .

All It needed was to set the clutch pedal to ACT specs

There was alot of play in the clutch pedal and my mechanic set the clutch pedal from under the dash and now it`s nice and firm .
But still I am going to change the clutch fluid because I bet that it`s the same fluid that it came from the factory with .

Thanks JDM97R you`r the man

when you're downshifting give the throttle a blip to bring the revs up to about where they would be in the gear you're downshifting too. It will decrease wear and make the downshift smoother.
