code 1 o2 sensor acting strange
i've never encounterd this problem before but no if i start my car there will be no eng light and if i drive normal everything will be fin but if i go on the highway and jump on it it throws a code 1 o2 sensor what could this be?
The O2 sensor is either being lazy or it is bad altogether. Replace it and the code should not return after you reset the ecu and clear the code.
o i hav a dc header on the car with the o2 by the cat could that make it not read right? i really just noticed it because i've a eng light for the past 6 months (speedo cable)
Yeah since it is near the catalytic converter the sensor takes a while to heat up. Once it heats up it throws the code. The unheated (single wire) O2 sensors should be installed closer to the head in order for them to work as designed.
I have the same problem than u man.I also have a DC Sport header on my crx si.Ill be changing the o2 sensor and see that would fix everything.
