2005 Acura RL brakes? Anyone look into these?
They are aluminum four piston calipers.
Anyone have any more specs on these? I'd be interested in seeing how much modification would have to be done in order to fit these on our discs...
Discuss.

For a street application, no.
For a track car, it will definately help even pad wear and modulation.
If you can pick these up for cheap from a junked RL cheaper than Spoon calipers, then sure they can be cost effective.

New junked RL...good luck. They haven't been out too long.
As far fitting them, I haven't looked into it yet.
You'd need to find out the rotor diameter, offset, and width. From there, check the bracket size and see if it even remotely fits an integra hub (itr or gsr).
Remember, the lug pattern is not the same on these either. 5x120 or something.

I have seen the 4-piston calipers from a FD-series RX-7 mounted on a Honda hub before; probably a better chance of finding those for cheap...

Yeah, there's no way in hell those calipers would fit under stock ITR wheels.

Yup. TL brakes seem to be the same as RL's. I took this picture at last year's Auto Show of the TL version:

.....and I have seen porsche calipers mounted on an FD before.

The RL does not share the the same calipers as the TL. The calipers on the TL mount the same way you Integra ones do from the back. The RL calipers mount from the front/top of the caliper. It looks like it would be a pain in the butt and alot of fab work.
I actually researched the hell out of this a long while back. The TL brakes are pretty much a bolt on affair for the front, and require little modification for the rear. The biggest issue is wheels. The rear brakes fit fine under 16" Spoon SW388's, but the fronts have a few issues. They will fit underneath the wheels, however due to the offset, there are still clearance issues. I never took it upon myself to figure out what size spacer would be necessary, but from the looks of it, the lesser brakes from the automatic TL will fit with no problems under most 16's.

What are the piston sizes? How is the brake balance going to be affected? Rotor sizes?

At JGTC I saw an Altima with Ferrari brakes (front and rear)
I think I have pics at home... will look for them when I get back.
