Tach doesnt read right...help
The tach in my 93 civic isnt reading right. When i hit vtec the needle bounces all over the damn place so i have no idea when to shift out. I have no clue what it could be. Any one have any clue as to what could be causing this? BTW its stock sohc with n1 exhaust and magnecore plug wires.
Does your speedo go crazy too? If so you might want to look into getting a new dist.
Or if you can swap it out and see if that fixes it, if it does you know what the problem is.

x2. Dizzy seems to be most peoples problem when this occurs.

ok something is wierd about this. I changed the distributor, and it still did it.I checked all the grounds and they seem to be fine. This morning i changed the oil and then went to "test" it out. The tach swept all the way to 7 grand with no skips or jumps or anything. Wierd
