Default Engine experiences fast/unstable idle

In the summer time, the engine would either idle very fast (>1000 RPM) or it would have a turbulent idle, meaning that it goes up and down between 500 and 1000 RPM.

The weird thing is that in the fall/winter time, the idle is flawless. In the summertime, especially after highway or long city driving, this idling problem occurs!

Everything is stock.

A misconception that many people have is that there is no need to warm your motor up in the summer time. Not true. Let your gine heat up a couple of minutes before you head out in the summer time. Also you may want to check your spark plugs, plug wires, ignition coil, and distributor. These are things that commonly cause awkward idles.... []That is if you haven't already.[]
