ok tech heads, need help. just started yesterday, when i rev my engine to 3500-3800 or so it makes some wierd metal screetching sound. doesnt matter what speed or gear, clutch in or out. anyone have this problem or anyone know what i should do. thanks.

 

sometimes could be a belt slipping (tighten to specs)...
or
a bearing in the alternator or something...

try listening for where the sound comes from?

ps pump or ac compressor seizing up on you. the bearing is a good guess also.
