Default Help with Civic Carburator with Turbo

Hi there. I trying to make mi car Turbo. A Civic 4d 1993 with the d15b3 engine, that works with carburator, I konw that the engine is for the japanese and european market, but maybe you konw something. I'm thinking of mounting a Garret T2 or maybe the t2/t3, with a weber 36-36 carburator, intercooler, upgraded clutch, and more things.
Does anybody know the specs of the d15b3 engine?
Anybody knows of a civic with that engine with Turbo??
I'll be pleased to receive some good Information, because in my country nobody knows about it. Thank you, Bye!

Default Re: Help with Civic Carburator with Turbo (Pablo)

I use to run that motor (d15 single carburator) before and use to think about turbo it.
The carburator eng. need "carburator encloser" which you need to custom made your own one.
Then you can turbo, blow the air in to that box with a less worry about disfunction of carburator.

However, you might better of with head swap (mini-me) to SOHC fuel injectioin system, then turbo it.
The mini me might cost abit higher than "customade carb. encloser" but it will be good and easy for any future modification.

the useful link for mini me
