Default compression test, Oil consumption, my options? (thanks) jspec b16a 2nd gen

This is for my daily driver white n/a eg hatch. As per now it only has jdm 4 into 1, thermal cat back, high flow 2.5 cat.

Compression test results.

1#230
2#240
3#235
4#235

Reason for test: This week I went to toronto to get lips and stuff from optionjdm. I did about 140-150 the entire way there (km/h). I had full oil when I left Ottawa and I checked when I arived in toronto and it was bone dry pretty much. Nothing on needle. Added what i had 1liter and still didnt register. Car didnt overheat at all though. Still runs fine with new added oil.

Way back with full oil it used up about 1.5liters doing 130-140km/h.

My vtec is stock at 6100rpm so I wasnt in vtec at all for there or back.

Anyways. The test shows great results, I know my guides and valve seals coulndt waste that much oil what so ever. My back bumper after a 2 min drive is FULL or black **** that is a pain in the *** to get off so its also seeming to be running very rich..... But whebn i pull plugs, they are more white then they are blackish/tan.

So in this case, I can either tear it completely down and rebuild with some ctr's or the shop that I bought engie from will give me a amazing deal on another swap and they will install it for me. This engine is spotless but i guess I can clean any engine. Im just not sure weather its best to rebuild, prob about 2500-3500cdn after all is said and done or take this amazing offer or 1500 for another swap. They will install another b16a2 but i dont get another ecu, but its would be damn easy for me to sell my b16a2 for almost that price here.

Sorry for so long but people have to get entire story. What do you guys think?

thanks Kenny

Oil ring problems hardly ever show up on compression tests.

I meant to say that this is most likely the case. Oh well. i really asked for option on what you would do. rebuilt or take the other engine and sell this one as its 100% sold already for the price of other one.

car still pulls great for what it is :S

Well, i opted to drive downb and get another b16 installed. Either it runs better (not that this one is bad what so ever but I know there is something as it does burn it BAd at high rpm)

So it runs better, i keep and sell other, its no better, I keep it in, rebuld the one i just took out and then re swap :S

Sp either way In end Im happy, Just one way will cost me more but I wont be w/o a car.

thanks and you guys suck for no comments

Ill just go back to my picture whoring up my car and others

lates,

kenny

No smoke? I am amazed that you burned that much oil in such a short period of time without noticing it.
