Cone Air Filter Cleaning?!
I have a 94 accord ex canadian lx american and i have a vibrant performence intake installed on my car, and the air cone is pretty dirty and i was looking into cleaning it!
i'm just wondering if it would hurt my filter to use a K&N air filter cleaner and oil?
where my air filter is a vibrant performence? or is that the best thing to use?
i know its a dump question but i don't want to mess up my cone filter!
thanks!!

it's only for k&N and AEM(k&N makes aem's filter) filter
there's some filter have more of a paper feel to it, the k&N's filter's element is mostly cotton fabric if i am not mistaken.
you might clean some dust and dirt off your brand of filter but you might end up clotting the tiny hole in the filter.
in other word, dont use it other than aem and k&N's filter.
the oil do work, just don't go crazy on it, a light coat of oil will do the trick.
it's not too bad with honda but on most of the mustang with overoil'ed k&N filter, it mess up the air flow sensor.
