Smoking Engine
Ok, my friend just got an EG with a Euro-R engine/tranny in it. He took it out for a test drive and was testin to see what it could do, driving it real hard and taking it past 120. When we got back to his house the engine was smoking pretty bad. Did a compression test next morning and got 190's all the way across. Started it up, drives fine, nothing seems wrong. What else should we check/possibly could have happened after having the engine smoke like that? Thanks ahead of time for the help!

coolant/oil leak, cracked/leaky radiator, cracked/leaky hoses
Your friend was driving 120mph in a car that wasnt his?
This is why no one who wants to buy my car gets to test drive it without me in it, if someone ran the **** out of my car I wouldnt sell it to them out of principle

yeah, i thought it should be higher then 190 too. The Euro R is a high compression engine, but my friend said it was ok. And it smelled like oil, but no oil is leaking that we could see. Oh, and when this happened he didnt have a tac in the car so he was most likely over reving.

Could u tell if the smoke was comming from the front of the engine or the back (near the intake manifold) side?
Im not too sure about those compression numbers. You might be able to check the FAQ about those comp. numbers.
