A/C not getting cold after adding freon
Ok so i got a 88 crx , and when i got it all the ac components where still in Except the compressor belt. So i put on the belt , tensioned it up, vacced out the lines, put 134a adapters on, put in a little ester and some coolant, and then the condenser fan came on and the clutch engaged, A/C full blast, Still hot, put in some more coolant, still hot, this little pressure gage tells me im where i need to be. but there air is still hot and real hot.
And when im driving with it off. i feel heat coming from the vents. The control panel is cracked but other than that. I cant get it to get cold. Anyone else had this problem.
Ps. The heater worked great this winter

the hot/cold dial inside the car will be connected to a cable.
Make sure that cable is moving the little arm in the engine bay. I hope you know what I mean, cause it will be a bitch to describe..
this is the only thing I came up with off the top of my head.
edit: my hot/cold **** is broken in my rex, so I have to change the temp manually in the engine bay. Its right up top near the firewall, in the middle.

if you put your hand on your distributor ...and follow it a cross to the firewall..then go down , you sould see the thing.

lol, well u were right. but late. i thought the temp **** was turning all the way. i took it
apart and realized it was still on hot. Now its cold. YaY!
Although my car idles around 750 and with the ac on the dash vibrates like crazy with the rythym of a fast heart beat.
if i use the gas to bring it up to 1000 +, it goes away.
Ever happen to any of you?

When you move the temperature ****,it opens or closes
the valve outlined in the picture and opens or closes the air
flow across the heater core..

I took mine out the other day to replaces the hoses, and I notched when I turned the handle and it opened, it didnt open 100%. it only opened about 3/4. does that affect heating and cooling?
