Default about the "JDM " engines

U know how shops and places sell "JDM" engines right. how can u tell when the engine is really a(n) "JDM ENGINE" ? any script, writing, numbers on the engine, on the head or what? how can u tell the "JDM H22 ENGINE" from the us h22 engine?

You can tell by the stamp on the block. For example, a jdm h22 will say "h22a" while the usdm one would say "h22a1." There is a number at the end. The same applies to b-series motors. Usdm=b18c1. Jdm=b18c

not all jdm engines are "jdm" euro domestic/ edm , hong kong domestic / hkdm(good parts for us buyer non metric guages) ect... they all use the non-usdm (north american) engine numbers

also, if it has a vin number, most likely its a USDM. Especially if you can run it thru carfax and get real milage and year of that particular engine and tranny.
