my friends car has been down for about two years, he finally got a a new motor put in, well sort of. He got a block from a 94 dx, and used his 89 lx head, im, and other various parts, so its sort of a mutt motor. Well, we started it up just fine, but when we went to drive it, the car has no power at all at WOT. I mean i know the car is slow stock, but the thing just has no pull at all, almost as if its just bogging the whole time, any thoughts?

 

the motor makes no noises, and seems to be running fine, it just has absolutely no pull

 

Any ecu error codes? Did you give the car a tuneup? How about the timing?

 

i believe it was throwing an o2 sensor code or a fuel injector code, but we replaced those....
