Default Please help with SOHC supercharger install question!

I just finished installing a Jackson supercharger on my D16y7, but the car idles like crap! The idle jumps between 1,500 and 3,000 and back. It sounds like if I have a huge *** race cam or something! The IAC is hooked up and everything, however, do the hoses to the IAC need to be connected a certain way, or can you just run any coolant lines to it? Another thing, I couldnt take off my crank pulley, and since the JR pulley is exactly the same, I just left my stock one. Would that make any difference? I mean, why would you have to change the crank pulley if they are the same size?

thanks in advance,

Alex

sound like a IAC problem... be sure that all your coolant lines are ok... or it could be your timing.

The jumping idle could be a vacuum leak...

check the gromets that hold your injectors in to the intake manifold they're probably smashed and now they are sucking in air causing bad idle

I called jackson racing and they said I have a vaccum leak... How would I find where it's coming from?

Make sure the MAP and TPS connectors aren't reversed.

Do you have a FIT valve? When I had my blower installed I had the same problem and it was the FIT valve. It's located under the throttle body.

basically it sounds like u have a vacuum leak,

I had a problem when I first put mine on, it was sitting on top of the alternator,
so when torqued the IM down it didnt seal properly leaving a vacuum leak.

is the FIT valve the same as the IAC? I checked for vaccum leaks with butane from a lighter but couldnt find any.. Could the PCV valve be leaking from the grommet or something? Thanks for all your replies..

I was told that i have the wrong throttle body, so I bought an 98 EX throttle body and IACV, but the car runs worse, because my DX has a 3 wire IAC and the EX has a 2 wire IAC.. What should I do?
