Default ls head

has anybody on here made 400 hp on a stock ls head and stock sleeves? If you did whats your setup. I'm in the process of building another ls i bought. I'm using an sc61 so i dont think the power is gonna be a problem. Just wondering if its gonna take alot of boost to get there.

stock sleeves

Probably been done. . . but I wouldn't get attached to a setup like that - it wouldn't be around for long.

plenty of people have made 400 whp on stock sleeves, thats not really gonna be your biggest problem. The problem with the LS head is its just gonna be a really big drain on potential power. What a Vtec head will do on 16 lbs you will do on 22-23+ more than likely. Your best bet is to port and polish it, get some 403-404 cams and springs and retainers and rev it to about 8k.

I know there is one guy on here sherman something that supposedly made 350 whp on an LS head with 15 psi. Dont ask me how the **** he did it, but supposedly he did, and i believe hes one of the ONLY ppl to be able to do it with that lil amount of boost.

i did almost 300 on 12 psi but after 6500 rpms the head doesnt make anymore power, thats why im gonna have to go with crower cams.

My boy made 417whp on an LS with just pistons, rods, and a blockguard. Completely stock head with a t3/SC61 at 22-23psi, 103 octane i believe. Tuned by Mase

crower turbo cams and a skunk2 intake manifold will become your best friend, especially above 6000ish rpm

yeah, this past sunday i made 363 on 15 psi on 93 pump with stock cams....and timing way off

if i had a stage 5 wheel i would of had better results. well maybe not because we didn't go to the dyno for a tune...just did base line pulls to see where we're at after winter that's all. i didn't get a chance to fix my timing map after taking the head off to replace the copper o-rings on my sleeves.

oh yeah the turbo is a t3/to4e .63/.60 57 trim
