JG/Edlebrock Intake Manifold - Which Throttle Cable and Bracket!?!?
We're working on a 1992 Civic that has a built B18C engine in it, and when it came in it had a Skunk2 manifold on it with a Del Sol VTEC throttle cable and a P73 ITR cable stay on the manifold.
Well upon building the engine we also installed a JG/Edlebrock intake manifold, and to our dismay the throttle cable/bracket combo we have doens't work at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is pretty much the only thing keeping us from getting the car done.
Thanks in advance.

Wow so many replies to sift through - it's information overload!!!
Seriously anyone?

I had to fab one from a little strip of scrap aluminum sheet, it was for a d-series edlebrock manifold though.
Basically I put the strip over the two bolt holes on the top of the manifold, drilled to match. Cut a notch to look like the stock " U " that sits between the nuts on the throttle cable, and bent it to line up more or less straight in line with the throttle pulley.
I hope this is of some help
2mm thick strip worked well

Thanks.
So I wonder why they don't make a special adapter bracket so that the average joe doesn't have to fab stuff up.

Yeah I thought it would come with the damn bracket, had to run to home depot looking for ideas
.
I think they dont include it because they dont know what TB your going to use (probably wrong about that though).
let me know if you get it straightened out.

Here's the deal. The kit is configured for GSR applications and the stock GSR T.B. cable and bracket fit with no problems. We did include the bosses for your situation though (engine swaps). If you space the stock B-16 style bracket up you should be able to get it to work, but better yet why don't you e-mail me and I'll forward it to our tech line (or e-mail directly at edelbrock@edelbrock.com) and we can send you a bracket.
I just ended up using gsr bracket on the throttle body
First time though I also had to fab a bracket

We had to bend the bracket that came with my JG manifold to get the throttle cable to sit correctly. It is bent 3 different ways, I'll try to take some pics and post them.
