Default B16 + jdm 4-1

hello all, for the people w/ the b16 + a jdm 4-1 header, whats the clearance like? does it bang the crossmember, and how much clearance is between the header and the floor? i have a b18b + a Dc 4-1 header made for the teg and my header is about 2-3inches off the ground. just doin some research for my future rex.

I have pics of it on my site. You'll have to cut a section off the cross member to fit it. It does hang quite low, just don't lower your car too much.

Although I don't have a header on my B16 yet, I purchased a custom x-member from www.placeracing.com
Now I can slap on any header I want without cutting.

Personally I'd run a Comptech header for a '99-'00 Si with a 2.5 cat and custom 2.5" pipes. It'll flow nice but have much more ground clearance since it's a 4-2-1 and designed for the shorter deck height of the B16.

DC does. Any B-series header will bolt up to any B-series head, it's just that the B18 headers hang a little lower because their oil pans are lower as well. You won't gain much ground clearance over a 2.5" collector B18 4-1 if you swap to a 2.25" collector B16 4-1. That's why I'd go with the Comptech. If you want a 4-1 you might as well get a 2.5" collector.

I got my custom x-member for $190 brand new. I think $300 is too much, IMO.
