Default help with type s install

I have a 2001 prelude sh and i blew the motor with nos. i bought a type s motor and installed it. i get no fire. the distributer is a internal coil design. i was going to change it out with the dizzy off my old motor but the cranks sensors do not exist on the new motor and there are no bolt hole to add them. this was supposed to be a stright swap and everything plugged right up so i wonder if the wiring is different. any help will be greatly appreciated.

remove the timing cover and see if there is a crank fluctuation sensor on the oil pump housing

afaik there is no such thing as a crank fluctuation sensor on h series engines, thats on B series engines. the h in obd2 should have the CYP and TDC at the oil pump.

it is weird because it doesn't have the sensors on the oil pump. more like the obd1 h22's it is in the distributer. that is what is screwing me up otherwise i would just change overthe wiring harness and all the sensors from my old motor. it also has a internal coil in the dizzy.

also there is no place to muont the sensors on the oil pump like on my old motor. i really don't want to tear it down to change that housing. maybe if anyone has any links to help with the wiring differences between the jdm type s and the us.

sorry man but it isnt a straight swap. who ever told you that is full of ****.

Japan does not have "OBD" all of their engines are our OBD I. you will need to convert a few things over on the engine to make it compatible with your car.

since you have the SH you are good on 99% of it, but i believe you will need that crank sensor and a few other things.
