Default Autopower and Rollbar and Harnesses Installed

My Autopower 4pt rollbar and 5pt harnesses were installed today. I didn't do it myself because I don't really have the time right now and I don't have anybody here that can help a brother out (and Shane wouldn't fly out from Atlanta ).

Rollbar padding is on its way and I do know that I need to properly loop the shoulder belts through the buckle...

I'm not sure how much this rollbar stiffens the chassis, but I could definetly feel the difference on the ride home from the shop and I like it...

Next on the agenda: remove rear wiper.

How long is the wait time on one of these bad boys now? I've been reading tons of posts on them and some guys have said that they've waited several months?

Oh man. Sorry Jon.
I was bedazzled.
Or just dazzled.
Although bedazzled (a bad movie for sure) makes me think of Liz Hurley, so I'll say that was my ailment.

Do you have a lot of room with the autopower? Can you move the seat back a lot? I'm like 5'11, curious to know, because I'd like to purchase one.

I'm 6'3". Those Sparco seats are not on rails so they are fixed, but they are mounted fairly far back given my height and they are not hitting the bar.... still plenty of room. I was worried abut that same thing before it was installed.

Yeah well if that's the case I'll have to buy one, how did you make the seat in a fixed position, I took my sparco out, because it was too high on the frame rails. I have a sparco milano, street seat, although I'd love to make it lower. Any options?

I just measured - there is about 6 inches of space from the seat back to the rollbar. Like I said I'm 6'3" and the seat is pretty far back so you guys should have no problem - even with a ghetto driving position...

BTW, I wouldn't be much help anyhow; I'm better at cooking

Willard (and Tran) are my recommendations for roadtrip installs

I don't see how this thing is really going to stiffen the chassis. The sheetmetal it bolts to on the floor is kinda flimsy to start with. The arms that go back to the strut tower are flexible enough that I could bend them by hand in order to get them to squeeeeeze into place.

Well, anyhow, cool! I'm 6'4 and I can drive comfortably, stock seats. The passenger seat is a little less comfortable for passengers but I could sit there for a few hours if need be.

Chris - who would road trip to AVOID a rollbar install.
