Default reasons why i my car is burning oil

now i know it would probably help if i listed my entire setup, but before i go and do that....are there any general reasons why my car would be doing this.

i basically have a DRAG III kit on an integra LS with some fuel upgrades only running 5 psi.....

i got in an accident and the engine wasnt messed up by it, but i havent driven driven the car for about 2 months. i'll start the car and drive it up around my neighborhood, but i dont actually drive, drive it. would that have any effect?

any ideas?

thanks for the help guys

its probably worn rings excessive blow by. therefor causing you to burn some oil. you need to do a leak down test.

Sometimes on an older engine the valve seals will wear. Also, try changing your oil, throw some synthetic in there. I find with my integra it wont burn oil until about 3500 kl into the oilchange when the viscosity begins to break down.

even though its a 00' engine
the turbo can damage rings over a small amount of time.

u must test that.

If rings are not worn, check Valve seal.

There is the only other way your engine will burn oil.
Otherwise, oil is leaking somewhere.
