I think you shoulc just drive it off of a cliff instead of wasting money on a turbo kit.

What the hell kind of response is that? After reading your other posts in Hybrid and All Motor, I don't think you have any room to comment.

casmello:
I'm going to be honest (not intending to be demeaning or rude)... Based on your question, I'm going to assume you don't know much about forced induction. With that assumption in mind, I feel you have 3 choices.

1. Continue to drive your car NA.
2. Turbo your car without learning about FI, and blow your motor.
3. Spend a good deal of time researching and reading up on forced induction, then, when you're more knowledgeable on the subject, begin your turbo project.

Do I feel FI is worth it? Simply put, yes. But ONLY if you know what's involved. The Forced Induction forum is a good place to start. Start using the search function, or even search engines like Google.

Read up, and good luck.

EDIT: Oh, and you should probably change your sig. If other people notice "2.3 VTech", you're going to get flamed for having a 2.3 gigahertz house phone as one of your mods. It's spelled VTEC.

One of the first things that will help you make up your mind should be getting the compression checked to see if it will handle boost.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

You just proved my point. Thank you. Your AWD RSX huh? Is that why your other posts include "can I swap an s2000 engine into my RSX?" Oh, and did I forget to mention that in the same thread you asked if you could make your RSX RWD or AWD? How about the thread you started asking "Wha kinda of turbo should i get my parents to buy for mi rsx type sweet?"

I've seen all of your posts. ALL of them. Most of what you say is just attempted e-thuggin at it's worst. Take your immature comments elsewhere. Your "opinion" was ignorant and childish.

Dear vtecownsyou,

Apperently you got a pickle stuck too far up your butt...You don't know crap about Hondas! I admit that I don't know everything, but I certainly know more than you.

And casmello, don't listen to a$$hole like vtecownsyou, cause people like him are the follow-the-crowd-type-of-people! Just because Accords aren't as popular as RSX, Evo Lancers, Skyline, etc. that doesn't mean the Accord doesn't have potentual! Keep your car and do some research, because you just never know!

vtecownsyou is a dumbfuck, you odviously dont know youre *** from a hole in the ground about hondas, or cars for that matter. do you know how hard it would be to put an awd system in an rsx without a tube chassis? have you ever had a boosted accord? if not than shut the hell up.

hahahaha wow thanks for the ACTUALL input and not some crap about how honda's suck. First of all, I love my car, I bought my car, and I don't have a rich mommy that can go out and buy me this and that. You go out, get a job and buy your own car and well see what youll be driving around in. I take pride in my honda : ) I make the best of it. Thank you philadd, for the information.

EDIT: Yes its true, I don't know much about cars especially engine wise =X Althrough I did install my Intake and everything else on my car except my catback, but I will be doing my research in the mean time, thanks again.

Hey schoolboy, let us all know when you turn 18 and grow some *****. Until then, stay on your skateboard and shut up with stupid insults.
If you think its a dumb question tell the guy to search. But sure as **** don' go actin the foo', lest someone busts a cap in yo *** bitch!

And any car can be boosted to one degree or another. That doesnt mean that the engine or trany or "insert part here" will be able to handle boosted daily driving or all out beasting.

This is what we are here for, to help another brother out in times of need! Also, I don't have rich folks either... I pay for my upgrades and my car! This is the main reason I don't have a turbo kit yet as I presently am without a job! One thing I can say, if you need to know something about engine or whatever, ask some of us nice folks...

hey casmello,
i got a 99 accord with 130,000 miles on it and i just recently turboed it! yes it is worth it, but first like philadd wrote, do your reasearch first, try to understand the components of FI, and how it works, and pretty much everything about it, then i would make your decision, thats what i did, it took awhile, yes, but it was all worth it. but even before you make your decision get a leakdown and compression test to see how it will handle boost.

as far as vtecownsyou i think its hilarious how he just up and left, haha yeah well so long for the idiot

wow...this thread went to the *******

your best bet is to read and learn EVERYTHING you can. then find some people around your area who are knowledgeable, and can lend a hand......talk to the manufacturers of the parts your looking for and talk to them, they're trying to sell a product and if you talk to them in a legit, informed way, they can help you choose the right parts for your application

I currently have 203,000 miles on my accord and been researching information on turbocharging. I have learned a lot by reading and reading and reading and reading....anyway, I at the point that I feel confident enough to start buying part to ghetto rig(I'm poor, what do you expect?) a system using a used cheap T-3, DSM Manifold, Uberdata, and a wideband A/F ratio gauge thingy. There are some other things I'm gonna buy over time, but point is, you can do anything with your accord because it's special in it own little way. All the internal stuff you need to buy is rods and pistons to boost more than 9psi(Varies) and without these, I've heard 7psi can be safely done on stock internals! So, read around and don't get discouraged, later comes your rewards!!!

you cant generalize boost levels like that, but ive seen most turbocharged accords that are daily driven on stock blocks at 8-10 psi....which is PERFECTLY safe as long as a leakdown/compression test is done beforehand, and everything is tuned well

When you say "Stock Block", you mean stock internals too, right? I assume so...this would work out great for me as I'm not looking for a lot of boost right now, but some to improve my mid and upper range...

stock block = everything is stock internally.....

10 psi if tuned right and w/ a good exhaust setup can net you in the 225+ whp range...... ....i know that would be enough for me

Nice... That brings me closer to my dreams. I have a guy going to sell me a T-3 turbo for $110 and all I'll need is mani, uberdata, and wideband and I'm in business!! lol
