Default Dyno numbers on my sc61 ITR. Comments

I recently had my ITR tuned. The setup is:
-Golden Eagle sleeved block
-81.5mm 9.1 CP pistons
-Full-race rods
-Stock ITR head, milled once with EF-1 springs, retainers, and supertech black nitrate flat valves
-Skunk2 intake mani
-Inlinepro exhaust mani
-Inlinepro IC piping with Tial BOV
-Tial 38mm with .5 bar spring
-Precision SC61 with E housing
-Precision 600 hp intercooler
-2.5-3" flared downpipe to clear AC
-3" Carsound cat to a 3" exhaust
-stock ignition with NGK 3330's

The car had some misfiring problems on the dyno, but made 266hp and 177tq, reving to about 8700 before power dropped off. I will try to get to a scanner and post up the dyno sheet. Overall the car feels really good, but I was expecting more power. My boost guage is reading 8 to 9 psi, and I get full spool by about 4500 rpm's. What do you think?

I plan on getting a MSD Digital6 ignition and a boost controller very soon. I am also considering changing out the Skunk2 IM to an Edlebrock, doing away with the Carsound cat and getting a 3" testpipe, and possibly having a 3" Ac compatible downpipe made(does anyone know where I can get one). Will these really help me? Thanks for any comment guys.

Honestly? It sounds like something is wrong with the car. Their are alot of GSR's making more power at that boost like 20-30 more whp. Id expect more power out of it too, especially with the type r cams and the head...

compression is too low if it was like 9:8:1 it would make 300 easy

Seems about right for the setup. The new ignition should clean up the high rpm problems, and the boost controller should take care of that high flow cat...turn up the boost until you melt that thing...then get rid of it..

I think that pretty good/average for a 9:1 motor with a stock head. Once you put a boost contoller on it and run some real psi it should make some real good numbers.

It feels really strong. As a matter of fact, feels quite a bit faster than my Eclipse GSX with a Big 16G. Do you guys think switching out the Skunk2 intake manifold to an Edlebrock, removing the cat, and doing a full 3" dp instead of a 2.5-3" flared(its only 2.5" for about 7-8 inches) will help me get enough hp to make it worth my while to change out? Thanks.

All of the things you listed would definitely help the car. And like previously mentioned the car will start to make better power with the boost turned up. A friend of mine just had his sohc tuned with the same turbo and it really started to make power when the boost got over 15 lbs. Crank it up and get an ignition!

what kind of dyno was it?

Not everyone needs that extra .2L of displacement in order to have 5wtq more than the other guy. . . . I sleeved my b16a, and stuck with 81.5mm......

I think its pretty weak for the set up. You should be well over 300whp even for that boost level.
