Ok i was having a problem where my car wouldnt start, checked for fuel, had it, spark had it, timing was on, everything was working like it should no cel light, and it works casue i had it on from my o2 being bad before. So i take it to a Mechanic who tells me my ignitor is bad, so i say ok fix it, he does car works fine, for a few days, then does the same thing, it cranks but wont kick over. I take it back to him and he tells me that the ecu is throwing a code 20, and said its my ecu which is bad. Hes saying that its in the injector pulse section of the car. He says that there are two wires for the injectors one that if a voltage, and one that is a ground, but the ground is sending voltage. Dont know if that made sense, but can anyone tell me what a code 20 is i searched but didnt find it, and if they think it could be something else. Thanks. Oh by the way motor is h22a with p13 ecu that came out of a 4ws prelude would that matter? thanks again

problem: Electrical Load Detector, Electrical Load Detector Circuit, or ECM

to tell you the truth i dont trust some mechanic. you should check it yourself. Was the CEL on the second time you took it to him?


btw i dont think the 4ws ecu matters.

 

When i showed up at the place he did show me the cel light on, so i guess yea it was on. I dont trust to many mechanics either, but i was lost, couldnt figure out anything i was stuck. And sorry to sound annoying how would i fix that problem. not really an electrical expert, actually dont know anything about it. Thanks again, and thanks for the quick response.

 

the 4ws doesnt matter, i believe 4ws has a seperate ecu that would be in a 4ws car (like how an auto has a seperate ecu for the tranny...), but as for the code 20 im not sure and my helms is ... somewhere... but a list of all the codes is on HT here somewhere or google it, that should help u a little, i would search for ya but i gg, good luck
