Hey everyone,
I just bought a 1991 Acura Integra LS, for 400 dollars. It doesnt run and has 152xxx miles on it. Now the first thing I want to do is get the motor running. The car was checked out by a mechanic and he said that the head is bad and the valves need to be changed. So basically I know that I want to make it LS/vtec. But I need help on where to start. I know that I want to change all the fluids, new spark wires and everything like that. But what needs to be done to the motor to run. I want suggestions on what pistons and rods I should get along with cams. I am guessing the first thing I want to do is get a B16 head and some pistons and rods. My goals for this car is getting it above 200whp, since its a project I dont have to worry about downtime and prices because it will just take alittle longer to get it right. So what pistons and rods should I get and about how much is it to bore and hone the block. I would like to get oversized pistons. Can this motor be turned into a 2.0l ? if so what needs to be done. its a b18a1 by the way. thanks.
