Crank Seal Leak???? HELP!!!!
Well oil is still dripping from my car. I fixed the headgasket leak, but now it looks like oil is possibly leaking from the crank seal. Oil is dripping from between were the tranny and the tranny/block brace meet at the bottom of the motor. There are a couple of holes in the brace from which the oil is dripping. It does not seem to drip when the motor is on but when you turn it off it starts to drip. If there is any more info that you would like just ask.
Does this sound like symptoms of the crank seal???

i think crank seal leak would probably be coming from behind the crank pully and timing cover on the oil pump side. and it would probably just seep out rather than drip, unless the spring on the seal completely broken. doesnt sound like crank seal to me. maybe its the oil pan gasket or oil cooler/filter leaking? possible to take pics? i cant really picture the area you are speaking of.

Yeah, I guess that was what I meant to say, I just forgot to mention which seal I was talking about. Sorry.

Well it has a brand new JUN street clutch (5k) in it and lightened factory flywheel, and I am not a fan of the JDM final drive.

Did the oil leak start when the gasket was installed? I have seen a LOT of home oil pan gasket installs gone bad.

its your main seal, fix it fast or otherwise you'll end up spinning a rod bearing. That went bad on my car and after an oil change not even 3 days later my car ran dry for 45 minutes and boom.

no it was leaking before the change, I was hoping that was going to fix it but it didn't.
