Default p73(integra typeR)pistons in a b16a motor from a 99 si

just wanted to get peeps opinions on using p73 pistons in my 99si

i was gonna get b16b pistons but got a better deal with the p73 pistons

I know that the compression is not gonna be as high but is it worth it to swap out my pr3 pistons off my b16 for these p73's ??

reply will be greatly appreciated

thanks

i would get the ctr pistons and put a thinner head gasket and c/r would be around 11.1:1

Don't put P73 pistons in your B16. It will lower the compression, which sucks for NA.

PCT (or Civic Type R) pistons alone will give you around 10.8:1, unless I'm mistaken.

i was thinking about using the p73 pistons in the b16 and swapping my b16 head with a gsr head(which also should raise the compression) w/skunk intake manifold and using a thinner head gasket by mugen

or maybe i should try to swap my b16 for b18c and throw everything in there?

or should i go frankenstein and use a ls b18b or b20 block, w/ p73 pistons and gsr head but than i got to get a the conversion kit

also wanna use a ctr pulley which eliminates the a/c and pwr steering

u think its a good idea to put a gsr motor in my 99si??

with the CTR pistons you would get good compression it would be like 11.5 or a little higher which is great for N/A but i think you have to get releafs cut in you valves for the dome of the piston casue thats what i was told when i wanted to do the samn thing

Wow, you guys really need to check out the sticky thread at the top of the All Motor forum...........

The only thing that needs to get cut/milled is the rods. The rods need to be milled 1mm on each side in order for it fit in the piston. Just search and you'll find out what im talking about. This has been discussed plenty of times.........
