Default REtune up, on a stock motor..... need some extra tips

im just doing another swap, ls motor, but before i put the new used block (35 k)
is there anything else i jsut replace while im haveing the block out? as of right now i have new water pump, timing belt, oil pump, spark plugs, dizzy, rotor, thermostat, headgasket, cam seals, and the fluids and oil.

is there anything else im missing that i should replace besides whats above?

Just make sure the rest of the stuff suppose to be there is there, like TB cover, T belt tensioner, etc. You are doing more than what most of us would do to a 35k engine, good luck with it.

thanks, just wanted to make sure what i tune up now will be easy, compare to when is actually in the car... but yeah thanks.

is any other comments?

35k is pretty new, I wouldn't worry too much about the stuff outside what you mentioned. But if the car you swap in is old (6 year, 90k, etc), then maybe it is time to replace a few things like hoses, check if the radiator is cracked, if CV joint is bad, etc.

Glad you are on the carefull side, and I am sure you will be alright.

if you want i would slap in the energy suspension firewall mount. It is a big PITA to do it later.

oh yeah, should i run some seafoam in my new engine anyways while im at it, just to get rid of any carbon build up?

i think that sea foam can be a danger when it comes to highmileage car, but im not really sure about low mileage cars.. what do you guy think of it?

injectors, all fuses.

I would check the bearings just to be safe...

Unless the car was run rich, or run hard I dont think a 35k motor would need sea foam right now.

I would go ahead bolt it in and run it for a few days jsut to see how everything is running. Then deciede if you need to run the sea foam
