Swap Preparation
Anything i need to do before i put my 00 gsr motor into my 99 excoupe? Change plugs, wires, water pump. Anything like that or should it be fine and ready to go in when i get it. It is comeing from IAS.Thanks
Depending on how much mileage is on the motor, you might wanna go ahead and change out the timing belt, water pump, and oil pump.
For getting it from IAS, I can tell you, you wont be dissapointed, one of the cleanest and in tact swap I ever bought was from IAS.

Being that new of a motor and since it's coming from IAS, I would go as far as just changing the timing belt, cap + rotor button, PCV valve and some new plugs - basically just some minor preventative maintenance. Aside from that, I seriously doubt that you would need to change the water or oil pump.
yeah Randy told me they pulled it out of the car yesterday and they were doing a leakdown test then cleaning and shipping it to my house
