I'm wanting to put a torbo or run nitros on a single overhead. I heared tha if i put a D16 head on a ZC block and get 12.9 compression. does anyone know if this is true? what i am wanting to do is build a O.K. , fast , SAFE motor. can anyone help me get started? i am very new to the motor area so any suggestion will help.

Well who ever told you 12.9 compression is good should be shot.

 

WHICH ZC block??? Some will work, others won't.

 

yeah, that head will bolt up to a sohc zc block(same block as a d16a6)

but NOT a dohc zc block.

 

in honda tuning that this combo would come out to be 12.6 or 12.9 and why wouldnt that be good?????
