Proper Proportioning Valve
3030 - 9.5" front / drum rear
3035 - 9.5" front / larger drum rear
3040 - 9.5 front / disc rear
4040 - 10.25" front / disc rear
4035 - 10.25" front / larger drum rear
(there is also a 3540 that I've seen but I don't know what front brakes it had)
a 3040 would be best for you right now, unless you plan to upgrade your front brakes also, then go for the 4040.
4040 should be from pretty much any 94+ teg with rear disks.
3040 may be from an EX auto (EG or EK) without ABS. but I'm not sure.

Yes it will but he will have to bend his lines. If he gets one from the 5th gen Si it will be fine, or a teg RS. They all have the same prop valve as his car but the proportioning is different. The 99-00 Si is what you should use for the 6th gen civics.

Get a 4040 from any RS non abs teg.

you should have a 3030, you can check on the firewall, you would need a 3040 off a 92-95 civic si non abs,and a del sol si, without b16 and abs should work too. thats only if you have 9.5 fronts,

you still would have to upgrade the prop.valve to give the right pressure to the rear disc upgrade.
