i was shopping around for cams but it's too hard to choose one
i was looking at blox, skunk2 pro1, buddy club.

when it comes to cams, you'll see everyone has their own opinion.

my opinion is Toda Spec A. without a doubt, my favorite cam.
stock idle and driveability. similar to ITR cams in their powerband, but a little more power up top. best way to describe them is like ITR cams with 5-7hp more tuned vs. tuned.
but i plan on trying the Blox Spec A when i install my motor one of these days.

my 2 cents. I ran JUN3's, made around 205whp, idled like stock. I would imagine you can tune most cams on our cars to idle like stock as long as you have something like a standalone set up.

If you want a reliable, quality cam that makes power without even knowing it is there the TODA spec As are the answer in my opinion...

Good idle? what do you mean by good idle though? beefy / lobey idle? or a smooth idle?

I'd pick toda b's for a beefy idle, and JUN 3's for a smooth / stock like idle. They both made very decent numbers when I had them in my car.

Depends on what you are looking for and where the power is to be made.

Spoon, Toda A, JUN III all idle very well.

Skunk2 stage 1-2, Buddy Club stage 1-2, TODA ..

id prob. also look into what other head work you want and decide from there.. ex: if your thinking of Skunk2 valve springs and retainers .. then i say get Skunk2 cam .. if you want Buddy Club head work .. go with Buddy Club cam .. I like to do things in packages from one company.. this way you know it was all tuned together for best results.

okay. that makes sense ..
but those toda/jun cams sounds good but they arekind of out of my price range.
i'm one broke ***
so i was looking at some skunk 2 pro1 cams + gear for not bad price.. but those cam lubes on these cams are supposed to be pretty big.

so i need high compression to run aftermarket cams?
would it pass using aftermarket cams with thin head gaskets. and stock bottom end?

If the JUN3's are too pricey, the Skunk2 Stage 2's have similar profiles on both the primaries and VTEC lobe.
