last week i had an issue of my car dying on me. Turned out it was my ignitor so i had the whole distributor rebuilt. now before this incident, my car was running pretty good. now at high rpms the car does not pull at all. VTEC hits, then the secondaries right after(vtec at 5400 via VAFC). when the secondaries open, my car sounds like it has no intake on it. it is super loud, but doesnt go anywhere. any ideas?

damn hahahaha i have issues with my car bogging below vtec or having no pull, you got the opposite. ummm mess with the vtec crossover point, fuel dilivery, plugs, wires, all that crap sorry bro try doing a search there was some poo poo about this in tech i think.

 

your screwing around with the VFAC probally caused it, remember by changing something something else will be affected on it.

 

ok, it wasnt like this before the distributor incident. my vtec has beeen at that for a long time and no problems till now. im guessing the timing is off.

 

it might be something as simple as checking all of your plug wires to see if they are nice and secure..

 

OT, but why is your VTEC crossover set at 5400 rpm? Thanks.

 

cause i was dyno tuned at that # when i had my ITR cams. i left it that way when i installed my skunks a few weeks back.

 

When was the last time you changed your oil. I know of a lot of problems at high RPM when you're low on oil.
