Blox Intake Manifold install and I got a idle problem that I cant figure out
Alright I just swapped my stock GSR intake manifold on my JDM B18C. I installed a Blox manifold with a new intake mani gasket and a new throttle body gasket. The problem that Im having is a high idle about 2000 rpms. I can rev the car really quick and the idle will die down to 1000 rpms or below for a split second and then right back up to about 2000 rpms. I have checked the throttle cable, tried to bleed all the air out of the cooling system, let the car warm all the way up, checked for vacuum leaks, etc. I also unplugged the IACV while the car is running and it dies down to maybe 1500 rpms and it has this quick little surge in the idle also while the IACV is unplugged. I can plug it back up while the car is running and it will start to surge really fast but the idle doesnt really drop. Im also not getting any CEL's while the car is doing this.
What could this problem be? I covered the throttle body completely up and the car didint die either. Could it be the IACV, FITV, possible vacuum leak somewhere? I cant figure it out to save me life and its starting to **** me off pretty bad.

I also covered the TB completely up and the car still ran. Another thing that I did was unplug the IACV while the car was running and stuck my finger of the holes insinde the TB and one of them was still sucking some air. Is that supposed to happen this was with the car completely warm also.
Well if anyone cares I do believe I found my problem. The throttle body will not seal up against the intake manifold. Either the Blox manifold isnt level where the tb bolts up to it or the throttle body is warped slightly. I think Im just gonna try to RTV up the entire tb and see if that makes a difference.
I followed the recommended torque specs for the tb but I wander if I should go tighter? Anyone else ever had this problem? I also used a new gasket there so that isnt the problem. I can stick my finger underneath the tb and feel it sucking air and the idle drops down some.
Actually after posting all that I just went out and looked at the problem again and took the tb off again and found that the Acura Dealership gave me the wrong tb gasket maybe for an ITR instead of a GSR tb

I thought about that but it turns out that it was a wrong TB gasket that I got from the Acura Dealership. Im going tomorrow to get the right gasket and some other stuff that I need like a new fuel line that is long enough to reach the fuel rail, some tranny fluid, etc.
I got an ITR thottle body gasket for my GSR throttle body and it didnt seal up the gap and there was a huge vacuum leak at the bottome of the throttle body where it mated to the intake mani,

while on the topic of TB's and blox IM's - i'm about to install a blox IM on my b16 - and i notice there is an extra hole on the new IM. it's a hole with 2 screw holes on each side as though something is to bolt up there, whereas there is no such hole on the OEM IM.
wtf is that, and how to i plug it up/?
