E-Brake Question
it feels like my e-brake is stuck or something
When I first pull my ebrake it feels "normal" but when i put it back down and pull it up again, it feels a lot light, as if something got stuck. I was wonder if it was my cable or something. Then after driving around for 5-10minutes my E-brake would feel "normal"... would wd-40 help? bad brakes?
and the weather doesn't affect it, whether it's warm or cold , it's the same
if someone could help , or give ideas, i'd appreicate it

Pull of the center console and make sure it's not getting stuck on anything, jack it up as well and make sure everything looks okay, where the cable connects to the rear brakes, check it out, you can't really tell it anything is wrong without checking it out

could also be inside your rear drums if thats what you have is dirty and caked with brake dust. just take a look at everything.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND IT PISSES ME OFF. WHAT IS PRETTY MUCH HAPPENING IS THAT YOUR BRAKES ARE JUST STICKING AND EASIEST WAY TO LOOSEN THEM IS TO PUT YOUR CAR IN REVERSE AND BACK UP 10-20 FEET. CHECK THE HANDLE AND IF THERE'S NOT MUCH SLACK THEN YOUR GOOD. IF YOU PULL AND IT CLICKS FREELY ONCE THEN YOUR BRAKES ARE MESSED UP BUT THROW IT INTO REVERSE. THEY'LL LOOSEN UP RIGHT AWAY.
Yeah, use to have the same problem. When I wash my car a give it a shot of water to get all the break dust out. Don't drive after doing this because the breaks will be really soft. But when it dries I have no problems. They do catch a little high, but that's because I need to adjust the ebrake cable. I am at like 11 clicks now. I think it is suppost to be like 6-10. I would prolly make it 8 clicks (right in the middle is always safe).
