ok, 1995 Ex Civic sedan, steering seems to float from side to side when going straight. Car is lowered with H&R race springs and KYB adjustable shocks (junk), soon to be replaced with Omni Full Power coilovers. When sitting still if you turn the wheel back and forth I can hear a slight knock and its getting louder. Also when running over gravel I get the same knocknig sound. Could this be a tie rod or something?

yeah check to see if your tie rod is busted.
