Default new cluster questions.

i just installed a ex/si cluster into my civic hatch dx. is there a possibillity that the rpm meter is off? also my gas gauge jumped on the last one but i cant really tell if the new one is working. can something be wrong w/ this too? how can i fix the jumping (one sec it'll be at a quarter tank and the next it'll be at half a tank).

Honda tachometers are notorious for being a few hundred rpms off.
