it is on the flat spot of the hood

i put chalk on top of the post to mark where to drill the holes for the locking mechanism
im just confused at why there is such and angle

When I had hood locks on my carbon fiber, we placed the pins (bolts) down by the headlights. We used a thin but strong piece of metal and cut out two holes; one for the bolt to go through and one to hook to the headlight bolts. The bolts had to be angled slightly in order to have the locks line up. Just used some plyers to adjust how much of an angle.
Anyways.....good luck

with those hoodlock pins you need to remove your OE rubber stoppers and mount the 'female' part of the lock mechanism through that hole. that way it sits on an angle and flows with the 'male' T-style... in other words, the angle would be right. i did the same thing on my hood. your other option is to cut the rad support and bend it... good idea??? no.
good luck.
good luck.
yeah i dont know i tried bending the post and it broke
in half

then this is where i located the posts in the first place

but deeksmooth said that this is where i should have located them, where the oem rubber stops are at.

so i dont really know what to do, i think im just going to get some actual hood pins,
does anyone have any recomendations on which brand is the best??
or if anyone has any ideas about what to do to fix my problem let me know!!
thanks again guys
