Help with my '00 si
Ok, i recently bought a 00 civc si, and for some reason when the brakes heat up after a little stop and go traffic the front right caliper seems to stay compressed. This makes it about as slow as a geo metro and im sure its not good on the pads and rotors. But after i get on the freeway and they cool down, they seem to release. Basically im trying to figure out if there is something thats supposed to release pressure and its just not releasing when its hot. Any ideas would be appreciated, looking for more of an educated guess though

you might have a kinked brake line, the calipers are floating calipers basically they compress from the pistons pushing against the pads and when pressure is released there is nothing that keeps them pushing against the rotor enuff to heat them up but if you have a kinked line, you will get plenty of pressure past but the no pressure to leave the caliper, so definitely check that out.
Yeah i will defineatly check out the brake line then, it mainly seems to just be the front passenger side that does it so hopefully i should be able to find the problem.
