Default 89 CRX won't start up!

I was driving on the freeway going like 70 mph and it just shut off on me. I tried to restart it and it wont start up. It sounds like its trying to kickover but then it wont. I have pulled out the Coil and Ignition Control units and had them tested and both of them passed. I have changed the distributor cap and rotor. Now i have replaced the starter and solenoid. It still doesnt start. I have pulled out the spark plugs to see if any of them were firing and none of them do! So there is no fire! I have no clue what could be wrong. Any suggestion would be appreciated, Thank you!

I've seen cars just stop like that without a big shibang twice.
1. timing belt broke
2. rotor fell off inside the dizzy

Check those two things and get back to us.

thanks for the reply. I checked the timing belt its intact. I also put on a brand new cap and rotor, still no help. Any suggestions why I am not getting any spark? How would I go about testing that.

Was there some brownish dust on the inside of the cap? If so the bearing in the distributor is probably toast. If this is an Si-then you will need a replacement distributor. If this is not the case then you will need to check the Module and coil.

I havent gotten a new dizzy yet but if thats not it what do you think? I took the valve cover off and looked at the crank and everything seems to look good inside.

um that would be your cam under your valve cover and id replace the ignition coil. i had a truck of mine do the same and i changed the coil and it fired right up. wow just looked at the price of the coil and its kinda expensive but id still give it a shot. just one less peice youll have to replace soon. lol

thanks again for the reply, my crx is not an SI, why would that make a difference? Once again, the timing belt is intact, the coil and ICM have been tested and they are in full working condition. I have a new cap and rotor, what other parts of the distributor could cause me problems? I also had the main relay and fuel pump replaced recently. It seems im running out of things to replace or check, any ideas?
