Default where did you get your brakes

if you have slotted rotors and performance pads, where did you get them and how much did you get them for? Also how do you like them. I have a 93 dx coupe. also if you are getting rid of slotted rotors pm me with a price.

Why do you need slotted rotors?

Don't turn this into a discussion about slotted rotors. Just give the guy the advice he needs

I got my stuff from importreplacementparts.com. they are always havinga sale in the classifieds thread. I got the brembo blanks and Ultimate Axis pads. But a few nights of racing warped the rotors. Got them too hot with the pads. Love those ceramics. They are real cheap there and great to work with, very friendly. Call them up.

Who me? Never.

I just wanted to know why. If it was for the bling, he's just gonna waste his money. If he is planning on racing his car, like you do, he has a better reason. If you are going to get slotted rotors for daily driving, you're going to waste your money on the rotors as well as pads. The rotors will eat the pads up much faster than blanks will.

Don't get me wrong. Once I start roadracing, I'm going to have a set of slotted rotors with agressive pads, but those will be put on before every race and taken off afterwards. I currently have brembo blanks from ImportRP, and Hawk pads from no limit motorsports with goodridge lines, and I love how well I can stop. But I would never take these on the track.

That's all I have to say. I don't want to turn this into a huge argument or discussion. I'm just trying to save the kid some headaches down the road. As well as money.

Fair enough. I've seen a thread in the sponsors classifieds about brembo slotted rotors. If I ever get some those would be the brand I get. You could always get a wilwood kit.

I am running Rotora slotted rotors $65 each and a set of Axxis Ultimate pads $63, I love the setup pads work so much better. Picked them up from a local shop but can be purchesed through Horsepowerfreaks....dont know if they are still a sponsor on here or not.

Same here, but Brembo Blanks and OEM pads. Great service and fast shipping (to me since they're just a few miles away)
