I used 50% Syncromesh and 50% Honda MTF when I had my grinding d16z6 tranny.. It kept the gears from grinding at mid rpm shifts, but didn't dissolve the grinding 100%. Some people do use 100% synchromesh though..

I used 1 quart synchomesh and the rest Honda MTF. I had a slight grind going into third gear and now it's gone. Synchomesh

Here in canada we have it for a fare price of 9bucks canadian for a litre. Just they guys said at GM they run 100% instead of mixing.

Get Pennzoil Synchromesh at Autozone. It's the same stuff as GM Synchromesh FM, but only costs $4.99 which is just a tad cheaper than Honda MTF. Personally I would not mix different tranny fluids.
