Re: Tranny fluid (Dkober101)
Honda MTF has never failed me. I use it in my S2000, I use it in my EM1, I used it in my D series civics, in my B series hatchboxes, I used it in my 158k mile DD GSR, my friends use it in their hondas...and they've ALL shifted like butter. Whether I road race the car, drag race the car, or DD the car on the highway, it works flawlessly. It's like $9 at the stealer. I get it for $0-$4 depending on who's working on the day of my visit.
I once used 10w-30 in an EF since it said in the manual that you could use it as a temp. replacement. It wasn't NEARLY as nice as the MTF. The MTF resists thickening in the winter, has a friction modifier for better synchro engagement, etc. It also just feels a LOT better than regular *** oil.
I dunno about all that synchromesh stuff...but I can't imagine it getting much better than just the plain old MTF.

I'm going to change the tranny fluid in my EP this spring break and will let you guys know who it feels afterwards.
