i understand its because honda exhaust manifolds have 1.75" collectors and the itr is 2.25", but can i just buy a new catalytic converter so that it will fit with the collector on the header? if i can, what cat do you recommend? also if theres any other difficulties for this installation feel free to post. thanks for the replies
Hi there... As I can see your are quite the same as mine... I have many questions for you or anyone that knows about swamping an ITR header on a 96 gsr... What fits, what don't?? Does it worth and if yes how much gain in hp an torque... I know that ITR get its hp and trq curve at a higher rev than a gsr. I also know that if you want to switch to an after market one, only the Toda, Spoon (witch is made by Toda) Comptech, and Jun header worth the money spend... Other brand, mostly 4-2-1 desing will give you gain in low-mid range trque but you'll lose a bit in the top end... 4-1 desing will make you lose a lot in low-mid and if you gain something in top end, it will be 2-3 real hp at the wheel after spending a couple hours on dyno...
Hope someone could help you/me with that
