Default water going into intercooler?

i am about to wash my car (first time since turbocharged been in the shop most of the time) is it ok if water gets into the intercooler or should i cover it up or something?

i was reading people saying in the recent trend of water injection posts that it will rust your i/c so you should be carefull.....

i hope people understand that an intercooler is basically like a radiator. but instead water going through it is just pressurized air.

Just use an AEM bypass valve after the IC. I hear those things are bulletproof.

In fact, I spray a mixture of water/alcohol right into my IC in between runs at the track to prevent heat soak.
