oh i got the compustar, i forgot to do a search but i came across all this stuff and the thing called the reservation mode..........in a manual transmission (the brain can tell by the dip switch or the jumper i forget) reservation has to be set or else the car will not autostart "AT ALL!" this is true right??
if you gruond your shifter and take 2 springs ( carb. springs) and mount them on top and bottom of the shifter and then take the hood pin wire on the alarm and hook it up the springs. That way if the shifter is up or down if it sees a ground it will not start.

It's a jumper wire that you do not cut, you will have to, [after parking] step on brake, set E- brake, turn ign. off, car will stay running, open door and get out, [car must be in neutral or you coundn't get out with it running] when the door closes the motor turns off, [unless turbo timer is set] and it arms the alarm and locks the doors, [if its the alarm/starter combo with doorlocks hooked up] if at any time a door is opened, reservation mode will turn off, and would have to be reset, before car will remotely start.
