Default throwing codes

i went to the track last weekend in my b16 1993 si hatch and the best run i could get was a 16.2 i knwo it can go faster i am throwing a code for the tps and the primary o2 sensor wamer or something....is that why i ran so slow....and yes i missed 3rd gear lol but i thought it was supposed to be quicked i am gettin beat by ZC ef's and stuff...it is getting embarassing.....thanx for positive feedback

TPS is very important. Fix that before you ever consider the track again. O2 can throw you into 'limp mode'. Clean the sensor with carb cleaner, and if that doesn't work, replace it.

well i got a new tps but i only have one screw in there but i put another one in there but it is still throwing the code........what should i do? thanx

if you dont have a knock sensor your V tec should not work

my vtec works.......i think that is it sounds like it opens up at 4500 rpms then doesnt pull untill like 6000 rpms......where do i wire the knock sensor to...i know it goes into D3 on the ecu pin.......thanx

I would get your knock sensor hooked up and you will feel a huge diff in you V-tec, I know when i didnt have mine hooked up it would run really shitty

check the ecu thread that is stickied at the top of this forum for a list of all ecu pinouts. You will also find a list of all CEL codes and what they mean. as well as how to jump the ecu to get it to tell you exactly what codes you are getting. and yes D3 is for the knock sensor. hope you can get everything worked out.

yeah i know what codes i am getting the primary o2 sensor warmer....knock sensor and tps.....i am getting the tps fixed this week.....the o2 sensor code should be fixed if i get a new o2 sensor.....and the knock sensor needs to be wired up.....how do you do it??

ok im not exactly positive about wiring up the knock sensor but after looking around a bit it seems that you will need to just connect a wire to the wiring on the knock sensor and then run that to d3 and you should be good. you may also be able to use connectos to make it a little cleaner. search around a little bit and im sure you can find sme better directions with some good pics.
