Default good cat for SMOGGING?

what is a good Cat for smog, i failed pretty dann bad, smog station stated that i need a new cat.

need suggestion of which cat to get JUST FOR SMOG. im looking for a good absorb cat for smog dont care about performance or bullsh*it...

Is a stocker out of the question? If you've already got a cat, you might try running some Gumout Regane or some kind of fuel system cleaner and carbon remover through the system. Also, put a new set of plugs in and make sure the timing is dead on. All that will sure help.

Unless you've got some fire breather with poor fuel management, I would think most any new cat would do.

From what I heard hi flow cat is not good for smog because the flow rate is high and it doesn't allow enough time/surface to clean the exhaust before it leave the cat. Another thing to notice is if you are using a low quality cat it may not last as long. If stock cat is not so expensive I would recommend stock cat ($600 plus).

i still have the stock exhaust system from my D16z6....but swap is a b18c1,,,i dont know if d16z6's cat would do it.


would soeone suggest a brand ....i prefer not to get any HIGH FLOW.

Catco that replaced my carsound cat that went to ****. Got it from summit racing.
